Director of Development at National Council of Jewish Women (NYC or DC)

The Director of Development (DOD) works with the Chief Executive Officer, Senior Staff, and Board of Directors in overseeing strategic direction for all development efforts. The DOD leads NCJW’s development department and serves as a key member of the Senior Management team. The DOD is responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing a comprehensive development strategy for increasing the organizations philanthropic and grants revenue building capacity in an efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective manner. The DOD will be hired in NY and can work out of either our NY or Washington, DC office. Deputy Director of Institutional Advancement at Center for Community Change (DC)

The Deputy Director of Institutional Advancement, within the Institutional Advancement team, provides management, leadership and strategic direction to CCC’s operational fundraising program. The Deputy Director of Institutional Advancement is responsible for helping lead the planning and implementation strategies to raise the yearly operational budget. Working directly with the Director of Institutional Advancement and Director for Brand Strategy and Chief Writer, and the Institutional Advancement Team, s/he is responsible for helping to ensure the long-range financial stability of CCC and the Center for Community Change Action, a 501(c)(4) organization.

 Associate Director of Individual Giving at David Lynch Foundation (NYC)

The Associate Director of Individual Giving is part of the Philanthropy Team and works closely with the Chief Philanthropy Officer to develop and execute a comprehensive plan covering all facets of the David Lynch Foundation’s individual donor program throughout the year. This includes identifying opportunities and systems that bring in new donors, stewarding current donors to maintain and increase their donations, and utilizing a variety of methods – classic and new – to increase fundraising support, providing funds that make possible the Foundation’s essential work. The position also has responsibility for various Foundation affinity groups that support and grow individual giving programs.This is a full-time, salaried position based in the New York City offices of the Foundation in midtown Manhattan. After an initial employment period, employees become eligible for the Foundation’s comprehensive employee benefits package, including group health and dental plans, voluntary vision, life/AD&D and long-term disability insurance, flex plans for medical, dependent and commuting expenses and paid time off.

Development Manager at Womankind (NYC)

Annually, Womankind raises over 80% of its funds through Federal, State and City grants and the rest through foundations, corporations and individuals. Womankind is working to diversify its funding streams and increase its private contributions over the next 2-3 years.  In addition to the position we are looking to fill, the Development Department is comprised of a Director of Development, Manager of Policy and Volunteer Engagement, and a Development Associate, as well as a part-time Communications Associate.  The department is also supported by volunteers, as needed.  The Development Manager is a high-level fundraising and communications generalist in the department. (S)he serves as the agency’s primary government and foundation grant writer and manages the portfolio of federal, state, and city grants, which compose 80% of Womankind’s annual $4.9 million budget. The Development Manager supports the Director of Development in prospecting and cultivating relationships with lapsed, existing, and new foundations. The Development Manager also writes and supports annual mail and direct response campaigns per year. This position supervises and mentors the Development Associate and Development Volunteer(s). The Development Manager is a 5-day a week, Full-Time position with benefits, and officially reports to the Development Director.

Director of Development and Communications at Free Arts NYC

This is one of my favorite organizations in the world.

The Director of Development and Strategy will play a pivotal leadership role in strengthening Free Arts NYC’s fundraising capacity to meet our $2 million budget (2017), and in developing strategic initiatives that demonstrate impact and engage partners. This is a rewarding opportunity to work side by side with the Founder and Executive Director to chart Free Arts next phase. This position will help drive the growth of existing initiatives and also be responsible for developing and implementing new, revenue-generating business lines that expand Free Arts reach, impact, and enhance success. The position works closely with staff across the organization and has direct responsibility for supervising the Development team.
