PT Executive Director at Montclair Fund for Women (NJ)

In 2016, MFW’s founding executive director retired after 15 years.  We now seek a successor to build upon her legacy.  Reporting to the Board of Trustees, the executive director will be responsible for supporting the activities of the Board, refining the mission, grant-making, grant management, communications, community engagement and finance and administration.  The hours are approximately 20 hours a week, and there is no physical office.  The executive director is MFW’s sole employee.

Project Director for Grantmakers United for Trans Communities at Funders for LGBTQ Issues (NYC)

Overview of the PositionThe Project Director is a new position that will be responsible for the leadership, development, and implementation of Grantmakers United for Trans Communities. The three key areas of responsibility are:Leading an ongoing campaign for funders to show their support for trans communities and take steps to increase the scale and impact of their trans funding as well as their internal trans inclusiveness.Further designing, implementing and managing the project’s fellowship program, including finalizing the program plan in consultation with the Trans Funding Working Group, launching the fellowship, and managing the ongoing support for participants.Coordinating the ongoing network of funders, working collaboratively with members to build a network for sharing information and resources.The Project Director will play an important leadership role in the organization, and should be a team player with the creativity and entrepreneurialism to bring an ambitious new initiative to fruition while working collaboratively with a small staff and a growing network of funders. The Project Director will report to the Director of Engagement and will also work closely with the President and the Director of Research & Communications. The Project Director will be responsible for supervising consultants, interns, and possibly part-time staff devoted to Grantmakers United for Trans Communities.  Funders for LGBTQ Issues main office is in New York City; several of our staff work off-site, and we are open to candidates based anywhere in the U.S.

Senior Major Gifts Officer at San Francisco AIDS Foundation

Reporting to the Director of Philanthropy, the Senior Major Gifts Officer is a key member of the Philanthropy team and will have primary responsibility for establishing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of 100+ major donor prospects supporting the foundation’s Annual Fund. This position includes identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship.  This position will work to craft personalized giving strategies, providing individual major gift proposals or planned gift illustrations as appropriate. Director of Community Organizing and Public Advocacy at New York City Anti-Violence Project

Community Organizer at ACLU of Alaska (Anchorage)

The American Civil Liberties Union of Alaska has an immediate need for a full-time, short-term Community Organizer to focus on the Fair Anchorage campaign. Anchorage expanded its nondiscrimination ordinance in September 2015 to protect sexual orientation and gender identity. Fair Anchorage is a coalition of national, regional, statewide, and local partners focused on defending the law from proposed Anchorage ballot initiative 2017–2, which aims to erase the parts of the law that protect the transgender community.
